From the Newsletter: What’s Up at the NNN Office

Posted by on December 7, 2010

December is a planning month at the NNN Office, as the plans for the upcoming year are being laid out.

Look forward to more workshops and classroom activities, with topics like financial planning, small business development, first time home-buying, and tax preparation.

The Near North Neighborhood Association itself will be reorganizing and filing papers to become a nonprofit organization. This will help with qualifying for grants and in-kind donations to support neighborhood projects.

Do you have any suggestions for classes or workshops you would like to see in the next year? Is there something you would like to teach?

In addition to more academic classes, there has been discussion of hobby classes like cooking, knitting and sewing, or a book club. Would you be interested in participating in any of those activities?

Contact the NNN Office at 701.777.6182 or nearnorthgf[at] with your input. We’re always looking for fresh new ideas, and want to know what interests you.

The Near North Neighborhood sends out a monthly e-newsletter to a large group of neighborhood contacts, community partners, and city officials. If you would like to receive it, contact the NNN Office, and we’ll add your email address to the list.
